Measuring GuideHOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT SIZE: How to Measure PLEASE READ ALL CAREFULLY!! What you will need: a fabric tape measure, and/or a long peice of string and a yard stick/tape measure and a family member. Self measurements are not very accurate, so if possible have a family member or friend measure you. You want to stand with your back very straight and tall, please don't slump.. 1. Start at the point on your Left shoulder where your arm and shoulder meet, the outermost edge, place the tape in the center of your shoulder, not at the front of the shoulder.
2. Pull the tape *across your Left breast* and on to the top of your Right hip bone, also taking the tape to the center of your body, not the front of your hip, if possible line it up with the center of your armpit in the middle of your side. 3. DO NOT PULL THE TAPE TIGHTLY!! You want the tape to be comfortable across your body, if it is too tight, your sling will be too small, if it is way too big, your sling will be too big. 4. Take a very deep breath and allow the tape to stretch with the breath. Make sure when you take the breath that the tape measure stays over your breast, and doesn't fall between them. You don't want the tape to sag, but you don't want it tight either. It is better it be too big than too small. If the tape is not comfortable, start again. You should not be able to feel the tape pressing in on your body, if you can feel the tape measure, try again with a bigger breath. The deep breath allows all the slack you will need. I suggest measuring 3 times and using the number you get 2 of the 3 times. This number will be your size. If the tape didn't feel comfortable, or if you have questions, please email me and I will gladly help you. If you are using a string to measure, follow the directions above, except, cut your string at the measurement on the 3rd time. When you stretch it over the yard stick/tape measure, this will be your size.
If at all possible, have a family member measure you. Self measurements are not very accurate, especially for pregnant women.. Start at the point on your Left shoulder where your arm and shoulder meet, the outermost edge, place the tape in the center of your shoulder, not at the front/back of the shoulder.
